PKP

Penetrating Keratoplasty. Standard full thickness grafts are offered based on your predetermined tissue criteria specifications.

DSAEK

Descemet’s Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty. SightLife Surgical works directly with each surgeon to identify their graft thickness needs. Ultra-thin DSAEK grafts are available on request. This graft consists of the endothelium, Descemet’s membrane and an ultra-thin layer of stroma, providing nearly the same acuity benefits as Descemet’s membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK).

DMEK

Descemet’s Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty. Descemet’s Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK) is one of the latest surgical techniques in corneal transplantation that may provide patients with quicker recovery times along with better visual acuity. We ensure surgeons have access to pre-cut tissue for this advanced procedure.

ALK

Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty. Partial thickness anterior stromal grafts can be pre-cut upon request, or provided for surgeon preparation at time of surgery.

FLAK

Femtosecond Laser Assisted Keratoplasty. SightLife Surgical helped develop the methodology to precisely cut corneal tissue using the IntraLase® femtosecond laser to treat a variety of corneal transplant indications. In addition to the popular zig-zag, top hat and the mushroom tissue shapes, we can prepare the tissue to meet the specific needs of your patient.

FLAK prepared tissue may promote the following improved results over traditional corneal surgery:

  • Faster return of vision for your patient following surgery. The specialized corneal graft shapes provide a precise match for your recipient’s shape, and may require fewer sutures with less tension resulting in faster healing.
  • Eliminates your risk of damaging donor tissue during preparation.
  • Reduces post-surgical astigmatism. A precision-fit donor button along with less suture tension allows for a smoother corneal surface.
Halo

Non-Keratoplasty Halo Cornea. Halo Sterile Cornea features patented easy-peel packaging allowing for fast and safe introduction of the tissue to the surgical field. A brief rinse of Halo tissues is all that is recommended before use. Unlike traditional patches, Halo Sterile Cornea is clear and will remain clear, resulting in simplified post-op assessment and improved patient cosmesis. Halo Sterile Cornea can remain at room temperature and never needs reconstitution, so you can always have tissue on hand for scheduled or emergency needs.

Halo Pericardium. 10 mm2 Halo sterile pericardium tissue is also available.

GlycerolPlus Cornea

GlycerolPlus cornea is corneal allograft tissue from human donors. It is initially recovered and preserved in a sterile intermediate-term medium, then stored in glycerol, a dehydrating agent, for up to two years at room temperature. We offer bisected, whole or split-thickness GlycerolPlus corneas.

Sclera

We can provide you with both whole and ¼ sclera preserved in 95% ethanol. Sclera can be stored at room temperature for up to about one year, but must be reconstituted prior to surgical use.
